How prepared were you before being interviewed? and how was the experience in the room and after? Welcome back to my blog where the saga of a day in the developer's life is discussed.
There is always a different feel in the interview room, your feet become cold all of a sudden while being caught amid uncertainty..... which question will he be asking🤦🏽♂️.
Relax your mind, you're enough...
It's normal to fidget, it's normal to stammer, it's normal not to feel confident in what you're saying, it's normal to doubt yourself... But do you know what? give the interviewer the space to decide whether you're fit for the role or not.
My first interview came with a rush of anxiety, making me flip through different document pages, carry out research, and grind the night as though it was a call to hell. Well, the interview room will always be an interview room irrespective of your level of preparedness as your first time doing this. I was amazed at the level of questions I was thrown (not technical per se but the least expected was asked "THE FUNDAMENTAL") so be prepared.
Know that imposter syndrome will tend to cloud your mind while casting the retrospect of the interview room. Your mind starts juggling between Oh shit! this was what I was asked... I fucked up....... and I could have done it better.
Well, the good news is, out of a bad session as your first time, comes an eye opener, sprouting a hunger and desire to learn what you don't know before and get better in preparation for what comes next.
If you fail at one, do not fail the next one because once bitten are always twice shy.
